Witblits Bearded Dragons

IMG_5017

The Witblits is one of the newest mutations available to the bearded dragon hobby. These dragons display a beige to white colour that is uniform though their entire body, tail and head. This mutation was first discovered in a small breeding colony in South Africa. This mutation is a simple recessive trait. It is believed that the animals that produced these dragons were related so it may take some time to strengthen the bloodlines, as with any new trait.

This mutation has been combined with all of the other mutations that are currently available to hobbyists. It will be interesting to see if we will be able to add colour into this morph or if they will always remain a beige to white colour.
